Skyla Bernard

Skyla Bernard is one of Wade Mongley's classmates at Teras Elementary, and when Wade finally manages to make some friends among his fellow students she becomes about the best friend he has in the creature-filled community. Skyla is something of a tomboy, and likes exploring streams and thickets and looking for bugs, a pastime that doesn't bother Wade but that vexes Skyla's parents, who frequently berate her for not being feminine enough.
